My predecessor Andrew Tink introduced me to the Shack; he was a great supporter.

Places such as the Shack are important in all communities.  Epping is largely a law-abiding and peaceful area.

Unfortunately, like any other area, Epping has social problems, and young people need support. They need places where they can go and let off steam.

Personally I have met many of the success stories from the Shack, young kids who have fallen foul of the law or their families. Through the help and support of Jackie Pettit and her team, they have been able to regain their lives.

Jackie Pettit and her helpers at the Shack give great help in that regard, and the various agencies, clubs and other places that help the Shack are doing a great public service.
